Artwork License Agreement

1. Artwork Description

The Artist has created an original artwork of client’s wedding venue.

The Client has purchased:

  • The original physical artwork

  • One (1) physical print of the artwork

  • Digital files of the artwork

2. Ownership & Copyright

The Artist retains all copyrights and intellectual property rights to the artwork.

This Agreement does not transfer copyright ownership to the Client. The artwork may not be reproduced, distributed, or used beyond the scope of this license without written permission from the Artist.

3. License Grant (Permitted Use)

The Artist grants the Client a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited-use license for the following purposes:

  • Use of the digital files to create personal wedding stationery, including invitations and related paper goods

  • Use of the artwork/print as a wedding guest book

  • Personal use and display of the original artwork and print

4. Restrictions (Not Permitted)

The Client may not:

  • Sell, reproduce, or distribute the Artwork for commercial purposes

  • Use the Artwork for business branding, logos, or promotional materials

  • Alter, edit, or modify the Artwork without prior written consent

  • Share or transfer the digital files to third parties (including vendors) for uses beyond wedding stationery

  • Resell prints or create additional products (e.g., merchandise, signage for sale, etc.)

5. Vendor Use

The Client may provide the digital files to a printer or stationer solely for the purpose of producing wedding invitations and related items. No additional usage rights are granted to vendors.

6. Credit (Optional but Appreciated)

When possible, the Client agrees to credit the Artist (e.g., on social media or wedding materials) as:

7. Term

This license is granted for personal use in connection with the Client’s wedding and continues indefinitely for personal use only.
